Creating a Character
When you connect to the game you will be prompted for a character name. If you do not have a character then select a character name. If the name you want is not in use then you will be asked "Did I hear you correctly, '<name>' (Y/N)?". Select (Y)es if it is the name you want to use or (N)o if it is not.
You will then be prompted for a password and asked to re-enter the password for verification. If the passwords do not match you will be prompted to re-enter them until they do.
Next select male or female sex for your character and you have completed the character creation process.
The Login Menu
When you have finished character creation you will be shown the MOTM - the Message of the Month. Read it for game-wide updates and information. Hit 'enter' at the "*** FIRE WHEN READY:" prompt to continue past the MOTM and onto the Login menu.
The Login menu looks a little like this:
Welcome to Raze the Dead MUD.- 0) Exit from Raze the Dead MUD.
- 1) Enter the game.
- 2) Enter description.
- 3) Read the background story.
- 4) Change password.
- 5) Delete this character.
Input the number correspond to the option you would like to select and hit 'enter'.
- 0 - Disconnects you from the MUD. You will have to re-establish your connection to the MUD if you want to continue playing.
- 1 - Loads your character into the game so that you can start playing.
- 2 - Set a text description of your character.
- 3 - Read a short exerpt of the game's background story.
- 4 - Change your character's password. You will have to verify it like in the character creation process.
- 5 - Delete the character you are logged in as. You will have to verify this with the character password.
To load your character into the game and begin playing enter option '1' at the menu and hit 'enter'. To return to the Login menu from the game use the 'quit' command, and to stop playing entirely select option '0' from the Login menu. |
