Utility commands typically toggle functionality on and off.
Brief
Syntax: brief
The 'brief' command toggles the in-game minimap on and off. Typically not suggested unless you're very familiar with the area in which you're traveling.
Compact
Syntax: compact
The 'compact' command toggles an extra blank line output to your screen after each command. Useful if you have a small display.
Color
Syntax: color
Toggles ansi color on and off. Recommended on.
Pagelen
Syntax:: pagelen <#>
Setting your pagelength will determine how often you receive page breaks when viewing long portions of information. For instance, if your pagelen is set to 100 then there will be a page break every 100 lines of data you receive when reading a message in-game and you will have to hit 'enter' to continue or be given the option to jump to a certain page in the message. Setting pagelength to 0 will turn off paging.
Save
Syntax: save
The save command will manually save your character file in the unlikely case of a reboot or server crash. Note that this is typically not necessary as your character file saves at regular intervals.
Quit
Syntax: quit
The 'quit' command will take you to the log-in menu, where you can exit the game, enter a player description, read the game's background story, change your character password, or delete your character.
0) Exit from Raze the Dead MUD.
1) Enter the game.
2) Enter description.
3) Read the background story.
4) Change password.
5) Delete this character. |
